🌲 Save our Trees and our community 🌲 Redwood trees print by Alimo.

👉 To honor these trees and to help the community, all proceeds for this print from August 28-Sept 4th will be donated to the Puente non-profit organization.

🚨🔥 Over the past few weeks, starting Sunday August 16, multiple fires began burning near local communities of Pescadero, Loma Mar, and out on Highway 1 near Año Nuevo. As of August 28th, the CZU August Lightning Complex Fire is 26% contained. The fire has consumed more than 82,40 acres and approximately 52,000 people are still evacuated in Santa Cruz and San Mateo counties. 799 structures have been destroyed. Just wow.

For me, this is Star Wars territory and some of my favorite trees in the world: The Redwoods. While they may survive, as they are fire repellent and thousands of years old, their surrounding friends will be lost. It's so sad. Surfing and exploring these regions up and down the coast have provided me with relief on so many levels. Pure stoke on surfing to simple highway driving to clear the mind. These trees and its surroundings are everything for me.

As the region's only Community Resource Center, Puente serves the San Mateo County South Coast communities of Pescadero, La Honda, Loma Mar, and San Gregorio. Puente both advocates for our communities and leverages resources that foster economic prosperity and security, and that promote individual and community health and wellness. We support local leaders and work together with our neighbors creating solutions for our diverse communities.

Puente staff joined efforts with the Red Cross, Human Service Agency of San Mateo County and the Sheriff's Department to set up an evacuation center at Pescadero High School.

Everything they are doing right is helpful for all the families who have lost their homes and scrambling to figure out their next moves.

Born and raised in Oregon, Alimo finds himself traveling all over the world to find inspiration to paint. His process relies on an obsession with interacting and interpreting the world around him. This process involves daily watercolor paintings and sketches on location to brain dump ideas, to then polishing compositions on both the computer and canvas.

Alimo is best known for his curvy post-pop imagery, highly saturated colors, vibrant hand-drawn letters, and worlds inhabited by figures arranged on flat tonal surfaces. His line-work blends both drawing and design with inspiration from the ocean to the mountains focusing on people interacting with their everyday selves. The art can typically be seen on paintings, prints, NFTs, murals, and merchandise. Alimo gets inspiration from the outdoors, snowboarding, surfing, exploring, photography, hanging with friends, and anything that provokes creativity.

His work can be seen with clients like PatagoniaPortland Trail Blazers, and 10 Barrel Brewing Co. to name a few. Always on the horizon for new clients that fit his environmental and sustainable ethos to create a new imagination for the world to see.
